Decent Juarez Hotels
Ciudad Juarez has 2,300 tourist-quality hotel rooms.
These are fairly decent hotels; I include a number of stars
(*), or (unknown), to indicate quality.
(***) Holiday Inn Express.
Within walking distance of the Rio Grande Mall.
(****) Holiday Inn, Lincoln at Coyoacan.
(****) Hotel Lucerna
Within walking distance of Rio Grande Mall.
(**) The six Hotels ManPort.
I have been to the one on Altamirano y 16th of September. It is decent, and
quite affordable (less than $30), and within walking distance for most
people, but probably not at night.
(****) Hilton Garden Inn;
on the side of Juarez near the Zaragosa bridge.
(unknown) Hotel Suites Maria Bonita.
Looks very good, but I don't know where this one is.
(****) Hotel Suites El Paseo,
Paseo Triunfo de la Republica.
(**½) Hotel Villa del Sol.
I've been here many times, but not in a few years. nice, cheap
(about $35), but the rooms are small. They have a working pool, color TV, and
a decent club.
Hotel Monaco.
(**) Across the street from Rio Grande Mall, this is a cheap hotel.
(*½) Hotel Santa Fe.
On Lerdo, about 3 blocks east of Juarez Avenue, near the Stanton St.
bridge. I'll never forget one night I stayed there, and when I left
early in the morning, they had the cops stop me and search my
luggage to see if I had stolen anything from the room. This
was many years ago. The room was OK.
(***) Hotel Montecarlo
(**) Hotel Impala, Lerdo Avenue.
(***) Portòn del Sol Inn,
Hermanos Escobar street, a few blocks west of Americas.
(***) Hotel La Teja, Paseo Triunfo de la República y Plutarco Elías Calles
(656) 616-6999
I have stayed here many times. The rooms, which run about $40,
are fairly large,
with very high ceilings, and it is within about 10 minutes walk
(to the west) of Rio Grande Mall. BTW, you will walk by the
Monumental bull ring. You will have to let them park your car, as they have very little parking.
